Caption Bar

The caption buttons are located at the top right hand side of your VOSS RT Van Oord Survey Software Real Time - a software package that provides assistance for navigation and operation activities for (construction) vessels and land based plant. VOSS RT was built by the software developers of Van Oord's Survey Department. It displays your equipment in real time in relation to its surroundings like the topography/bathymetry, water level, design, no go areas, strucures, buoys, etc. As a minimum, the software will use a positioning system, but it is often enhanced with heading and attitude sensors. screen.

Caption Bar buttons
SIMULATE	Three options exist in the Application Settings - Operation Mode: Normal - This is the normal or Real Time mode where all incoming devices are used and applied. This option has no button in the Caption Bar. REPLAY - In this mode log files from the past can be replayed see: Replay. SIMULATION - In this mode it is possible to move the equipment in various directions and manually change inputs to VOSS RT. See: Simulation.
UPDATES	This will open the Shapes Overview window, where you can see the latest updates to your data.
LOG	Start logging data. The type of logging is determined in the Operation Settings - Logging page.
OK / ERROR	This indicates that the system is either working fine, with no errors, or, click on ERROR to open a window with the Statuses of the various systems in use on board.
NO GPS Global Positioning System is a space-based satellite navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather, anywhere on or near the Earth, where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. It is maintained by the United States government and is freely accessible to anyone with a GPS reciever. / GPS / RTK	Click on this button to open the Diagnostics window, where you can see which positioning data is not being received.
TIDE	Open the Height Control window, where you can select the height source.
