Equipment Plan

An Equipment In VOSS RT Equipment is the collective name for all marine and land machinery provided with positioning (and attitude devices). Plan contains equipment locations that are planned in advance.

The plan is created in VOSS.NET, exported as a *.vnar package and imported in VOSS RT.

Or, in case both are on the same SDM Survey Data Manager - the database that manages and carries the total set of your data., the plan is available directly, without the need to export it.

 

 MENU > Operation Settings > Main Shapes A geometric entity or a collection of such entities. Each entity is described by basic geometry such as a point, a line or an arc. Examples of shapes are: Route, Centerline, Waypoints, Fix Set, Dump Boxes, Progress Grid Model, Designs, etc. > Equipment Plan

 

Through the Equipment Plan option, you can select the file containing the necessary settings, often the Vessel Targets.

After uploading, use the right mouse menu option in the Top View to select a target. (See paragraph below.)

 

Select Vessel Target

Right-click in the Top View and choose Select Vessel Target:

In the window that opens, the predefined Targets (sometimes called Ghost locations in the Offshore industry) can be viewed in the drop down menu.
